Faculty of Sharia Economics Law Unismuh Concludes Strategic Partnership with UAD Yogyakarta

UNISMUH.AC.ID, Yogyakarta — The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) University of Muhammadiyah Makassar strengthened its national academic network through a benchmarking and strategic cooperation work-sharing program with the Faculty of Sharia Banking FAI Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Yogyakarta on Monday, August 4, 2025.

This step is part of the series of National Practicum Work Field (PKL) Impact which was previously implemented at three Islamic Courts in the Yogyakarta region. The Unismuh team led by the HES Chair and accompanied by FAI GCM Chair Hurriah Ali Hasan, ST., ME., Ph.D, and Mursyid Fikri, S.Pd.I., M.H were joined by several home base professors.

The arrival of Unismuh team was warmly welcomed by the FAI UAD hierarchy, including Vice Deans I and II, and Prodi Perbankan Syariah staff. In a cozy and enthusiastic atmosphere, both parties shared their program profiles, including academic development strategies and innovative learning practices.

"This benchmarking is an important momentum to enrich reference management of the program, as well as strengthen inter-institution collaboration within the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah (PTMA) Higher Education realm," said the HES Chair FAI Unismuh Makassar.

The meeting also produced initial commitment to cooperation in several strategic areas, including strengthening academics, collaborative research, faculty exchange, and developing community-based syariah-based service activities.

These collaborations are expected to expand the knowledge treasure and have a direct impact on enhancing Islamic higher education quality, particularly in the field of Sharia economics and finance.
