Unismuh's Arabic Language Education Program Earns Excellent Accreditation from LAMDIK

UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR – The Arabic Language Education Study Program (PBA) of Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar has officially received Excellent Accreditation from the Independent Educational Accreditation Agency (LAMDIK). This decision is valid from March 24, 2025, to March 23, 2030, with an accreditation score of 374.

This achievement was met with gratitude and pride by the leadership of the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) at Unismuh. Dean of FAI Unismuh, Dr. Amirah Mawardi, expressed appreciation to all parties who contributed to this accomplishment.

"We congratulate and thank the accreditation team, lecturers, students, and the entire Unismuh academic community for their hard work and dedication. This Excellent Accreditation proves the quality of education we have upheld so far," said Amirah at the Unismuh Campus on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

According to Amirah, this achievement further solidifies the position of the PBA Study Program as one of the top programs at the Faculty of Islamic Studies Unismuh. "Currently, three study programs have achieved Excellent status, namely Islamic Education (PAI), Sharia Economic Law (HES), and Arabic Language Education (PBA). In the future, we are optimistic that the Family Law (AS), Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (KPI), and Islamic Education Guidance and Counseling (BKPI) study programs will also follow suit," she added.

Meanwhile, Head of the PBA Study Program at Unismuh, Nur Fadilah Amin, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I., stated that this achievement is the result of collective effort involving various stakeholders.

"The PBA Study Program has several strengths that supported this achievement, including integration with Ma'had Al Birr since 2021 and the continuous development of domestic and international partnerships," said Nur Fadilah.

The Excellent Accreditation earned by the PBA Study Program adds to the list of outstanding programs at Unismuh Makassar. To date, Unismuh has 28 study programs with Excellent accreditation status, 3 with A accreditation status, 8 with Very Good status, 4 with B accreditation status, 11 with Good status, and 3 still holding Accredited status. Out of the 57 study programs at Unismuh, none hold a C status, reflecting Unismuh's commitment to maintaining high education standards.

With this achievement, the PBA Study Program at Unismuh is committed to continuously improving educational quality and expanding its academic network to produce outstanding graduates in the field of Arabic Language Education.
