FAI Unismuh's Islamic Economics Law Program Achieves Excellent Accreditation from BAN PT

UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR - After a long and diligent process, the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh), specifically the Sharia Economics Law (HES) Program, has achieved an excellent accreditation from the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN PT). This excellent accreditation recognizes the outstanding quality and achievements of the program.

Previously, the HES Program had been accredited with a grade of A, which was valid until 2024. However, the HES Program accreditation team did not stop there.

In response to regulatory changes that allow programs with an A accreditation to apply for conversion to an excellent accreditation, they seriously utilized this opportunity to improve the quality and reputation of the program.

Dr. Hasanuddin, Head of the HES Program at Unismuh, recounts the long journey towards achieving this achievement.

"We set a target to apply for accreditation conversion to an excellent accreditation. With hard work and dedication, we successfully achieved the Excellent accreditation, which was our main target," he said.

He further explained that a strong supporting factor in achieving this excellent accreditation is the solid collaboration of the accreditation team, as well as the very meaningful support from various parties, both within the HES program, the Faculty of Islamic Studies, and the University. This support enabled them to overcome various challenges during the accreditation process.

Of course, there is no struggle without obstacles. The main challenge faced in preparing for accreditation or converting the accreditation, according to Hasanuddin, is understanding the new conversion instruments.

However, thanks to the support of various parties who better understand this regulation, they were finally able to overcome this obstacle effectively.

The success in achieving this excellent accreditation is inseparable from the solid collaboration of the accreditation team and the full support from various parties.

"The internal lecturers of the HES Program, the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, the Faculty of Islamic Studies Quality Control (GKM), and the Unismuh Makassar Quality Assurance Agency (BPM), have all played an important role in achieving this achievement," said Hasanuddin.

With the achievement of Excellent accreditation, the HES Program hopes to continue improving its internal quality and performance in the future, especially in improving the quality of lecturers and providing maximum guidance to students.

This Excellent accreditation achievement is also hoped to be an attractive factor for prospective new students who want to experience the benefits of a high-quality academic environment that they offer.

"We congratulate and express our highest appreciation to the entire accreditation team and all parties who supported the HES Program in achieving this excellent accreditation," said the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Unismuh, Dr. Amirah Mawardi.

The Dean of FAI Unismuh also mentioned that the Head of the HES Program at FAI Unismuh experienced double happiness on the same day. "Today, he also underwent the Doctoral Promotion Session in UMI, Alhamdulillah," concluded Amirah.
