HES Program Unismuh Makassar Ready to Accept 200 New Students

UNISMUH.AC.ID, Makassar - As the 2024 academic year begins, the Sharia Economic Law (HES) Study Program at the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI), Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar, targets the admission of 200 new students. This target is calibrated to align with the available faculty-to-student ratio and learning facilities.

Secretary of the Undergraduate HES PAI Study Program at Unismuh Makassar, Dr. Ridwan Fawallang, S.HI., M.HI., shared this with the media on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Unismuh Makassar campus. "To reach this goal, we will carry out intensive outreach and promotional campaigns through both mass media and social media," he stated.

Ridwan explained that program promotion is also being actively conducted via social media, garnering positive feedback from netizens. These promotional efforts extend beyond the university level, including independent outreach to Muhammadiyah-affiliated high schools as well as other public schools.

"Furthermore, we are collaborating with alumni who have established careers across various government and private institutions to introduce the program to prospective students," he added. Many HES Unismuh Makassar alumni have gone on to work as Islamic banking legal consultants, attorneys, and in government agencies.

Currently, the program has approximately 400 enrolled students and 12 lecturers, five of whom hold doctoral degrees. The HES Study Program has earned an Excellent accreditation from BAN-PT and has graduated approximately 700 students since its founding in 2009. The current Head of the HES Study Program is Dr. Hasanuddin, S.Sy., M.E.

Through these continuous efforts, the HES Study Program at FAI Unismuh Makassar remains optimistic about achieving its new student admission target this year.
