HES Unismuh Makassar Period 2023-2024 Inaugurated, Message from Leadership

UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR - The Student Association of the Department of Sharia Economics (HES) Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) of Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar held the inauguration of the 2023-2024 period officers.

The inauguration of the HES FAI Unismuh Makassar HMJ took place on the 2nd floor of the Iqra Tower Building at Unismuh Makassar.

Also present were the Head of the Department, Dr. Muhammad Ridwan Fawallang, S.HI., M.HI., Deputy Dean III of FAI Unismuh Makassar, Elli Oscar SPdI, MPdI, and representatives from Unismuh Makassar.

In his speech, Head of the Department, Dr. Muhammad Ridwan Fawallang S.HI., M.HI., stated that the HES HMJ should be a platform for the development of students, both in the fields of academics and leadership skills, as well as community service. Globally, the Sharia Economy movement is rapidly advancing, and the halal industry dimension is an urgent aspect of the movement that the academic world needs to respond to. The HES HMJ is needed to promote the emergence of a halal industry ecosystem, with academic research that is well-developed.

"The strength of the organization comes from togetherness and a commitment within the management, and the HMJ also serves to attract students externally to make them aware that Sharia Economics is a major with promising job prospects for its graduates," he concluded.

At the same location, Deputy Dean III of FAI, Elli Oscar SPdI, MPdI, stated that the inauguration of the HES HMJ officers.

"This means that there will be new developments, as well as maintaining the intellectual climate on campus," he said.

Furthermore, Elli added that the institution should not make us less knowledgeable.

"The institution must support these, especially in synergy with the major," he concluded.
