Graduation Ceremony, FAI Unismuh Makassar; Be an Alumni Who Knows How to Appreciate

UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR - The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) of Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar held a Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

The Graduation Ceremony of FAI Unismuh Makassar was held in the Iqra Tower, 4th Floor, Faculty of Islamic Studies Hall, led directly by the Dean of FAI Unismuh Makassar, Dr. Amirah Mawardi MAg.

A total of 158 students from the FAI Unismuh Makassar Faculty participated in the Graduation Ceremony. These 158 students came from five study programs participating in the Graduation Ceremony, namely Islamic Religious Education (PAI) 25 people, Arabic Language Education (PBA) 7 people, and Sharia Economics Law (HES) 44 people, Akhwalul Syaksiah 35 people, and the Islamic Broadcasting Commission (KPI) 47 people.

In his speech, the Dean of FAI Unismuh Makassar stated that today, the students are entitled to hold the titles of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and Bachelor of Law.

"Students are entitled to have these titles," he said.

Amirah Mawardi expressed her gratitude to Allah as a form of struggle that began from the beginning of the semester until this moment. "As a leader, whether it is a faculty leader or a program leader who oversees all students, we witnessed the inauguration of the graduates today," she said.

She added that, "It is a great blessing from Allah. Can we count the blessings from Allah? If you count, there is none that can count them. Be grateful for the blessings that Allah has given. Gratitude is not judged from the beginning of studying, but from the beginning of our education through elementary education until now.

"Thank you, thank you to parents, thank you to the faculty, thank you to the deans and vice deans, thank you to the program leaders, so you can become a smart graduate," she added.

Amirah Mawardi also stated that do not stop at the first degree. Aspire to continue your studies, and I hope that around 30-40% will continue to pursue a Master's degree. Having only a Bachelor's degree is not enough.

"Never think about where you get the funds, because Allah will always give blessings in pursuing knowledge," she said.

She also hoped that there would be replacement students, from the 157 graduates today, there will be replacement students, so I release the graduates with the condition that there must be at least two replacements for each graduate.

"The seats that are vacant today must be filled, and the replacements must come from you," concluded Amirah.
