UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR – The Economic Syariah Law Student Association (HMJ) of the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) at Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar, held the Muamalah Fair on Friday, March 17, 2023.

The Muamalah Fair was held at the Unismuh Makassar Muktamar IV Conference Hall, with the theme "Rights of the Community in the Utilization of Economic Resources."

Niza Zaki Humairoh, Chairwoman of the HMJ HES, stated that 52 teams registered to participate in the event, and 10 teams successfully passed the selection process from various universities.

"Through an extremely rigorous selection process, we were able to produce 10 teams," she said.

Niza Zaki Humairoh added that the preparations were not just ordinary preparations, but rather almost half a year of preparation with extraordinary maturity, allowing us to conduct the event with the desired integrity.

"This event is also a form of preaching to introduce the principles of Economic Syariah through academic preaching, carried out by all students in the association," she concluded.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FAI Unismuh Makassar, represented by the Vice Dean III, Elly Oscar SPdI MPdI, stated, "I always say to all HMJs and students of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, that they have a great responsibility and benefit in social life. The responsibility of the FAI students is to deepen their knowledge and, when returning to society, to be role models and examples in daily life. Young people can be seen from the Faculty of Islamic Studies."

Therefore, today, the HMJ HES Unismuh Makassar held the Muamalah Fair, although with various challenges, this is an extraordinary event.

"Continue to strive because what young people have now is spirit. If you don't have spirit, believe that this event will not be realized," she concluded.

Dr. Muhammad Tahir MSi, Vice Rector III of Unismuh Makassar, stated that student activities like this have three impacts: personality, institutional, and accreditation. The impact of the institution is that Muhammadiyah University of Makassar in academic and student achievement has achieved 4.0 and 3.75 respectively.

He added, "Student achievements are not always visible or monitored at the faculty level. If you want to see the achievements, you can see it at the LPKA (Learning and Assessment Center). The achievements of the Faculty of Islamic Studies students have not been monitored well from the faculty or the department."

"The achievements of FAI students in 2023 at the international level have been recorded through singkatmawa, with 18 participants and 8 international winners, and 20 international activities. We will collaborate for faster achievements," he concluded.
